Interesting menu options. Good food, good service

We were there for a company party. The venue was clean and well decorated. The staff were amazing! My friend has a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating. Also, I'm pregnant, a the bar tender kindly took a moment in the middle of serving everyone wine to make a non alcoholic drink for me. The meal was a plated dinner with 4 options for about 100 guests. It came out warm and pretty yummy tasting. I would definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere and my wife loved the Arctic Char. The flavor was really brought out with the nice grill on the fish and the broth complimented this dish very well. They have a very simple menu. In my books, a restaurant is good if you know you'll be back for a particular dish and this is that dish. I had the fish and chips and it was unfortunately overdone but will be trying other dishes on my next visit.

Nice interior and good location, but the food was very average and overpriced. The service was absolutely appalling though. We were sitting with empty drinks for most of the night and when we tried to get the bill we had to wait ten minutes to actually try to get a server to our table, then no sign of the bill for another 15mins so we actually had to go and ask if we could just pay at the bar. Wont be going back purely based on the service.

The decoration was nice but the food wasn't my favorite. I don't remember what I ordered but I wasn't impressed by them. Cool place to have some drinks with friends though

Tasty brunch option with the 1918 plate. Nice quick service. Great helpful, well informed staff.

Food was good, but nothing to call home about. It was all very fresh and looked good. A little slow for how little people were there. Would probably go again.

Great atmosphere and food

Nice place in terms of trim and setup. Good lighting, nice bar, lots of parking. Service was also very good. The kitchen is struggling though for sure. Went at a time when they were not busy. Ordered calamari and two mains. Calamari was not edible, had ten times as much salt as would be tolerable, and the mains were weak (cod and beef ribs). Bland, served warm but not hot, undercooked vegetables that consisted of a lot of celery, and generally bland. My water glass had lipstick all over it. Beer was good and cold. Overall though.. I would skip it with so many better options just down the road in Kensington.. at least until they get their act together.

Hi there! My husband and I had a great experience at the 1918 Tap and Table a few days ago. Our waiter Chad was super friendly, funny and informative. We were so impressed that the restaurant is owned by the Legion and is run as a not-for-profit restaurant which gives back to veterans...love it!

It's a beautifully redone legion, with lots of natural light and high ceilings. Service was so-so (she might have been new, or might have been not a great waitress, hard to say), and the food had mixed reviews. I would not order the shrimp pasta again (my shrimp were mush, the rest was very mediocre), but my daughter's chicken strips and fries were actually great. Recommend their pub food, anyways. Apparently they have spaces upstairs for private events, too.

Really great bar to have drinks, appetizers or a meal and hang out. I really enjoyed the wings & beer but be warned they make some mighty hot suicide wings.

Open concept, modern layout, decent drink selection. I thought the food menu was lacking a bit, but still a nice place to stop by to support the veterans.

We ordered two flat breads, they both came out cold, were missing key ingredients (arugula and pesto), and looked unappetizing, with a small amount of half melted cheese. One of them was pretty much cold sauce, a few spinach leaves, and a sprinkle of cheese on a soggy flatbread. We sent it back and the remade version looked like a completely different dish (properly cooked, more cheese, all the ingredients advertised) and was actually edible. The ambience was nice and our server was friendly, but this place is definitely not living up to its potential.

My fish and chips were fantastic. Great coleslaw and crispy fries. My partner had a burger and he thought it was dry and horrible. The space is trendy, but a little cold. I think it needed some taller furnishings to fill the space better. Staff were pleasant.

Great beer...great food... great prices...who could ask for more

The location is excellent, the atmosphere and decor are really great - bright/open and well done. The food really left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered the short rib and it was really bad. Basically the texture of rubber, looked really unappetizing and tasted bad. We sent it back. I had the burger and it was good as were the fries. As like many of the other reviews, this place has tons of potential, they just need to get their food game up to par.

I didn't go to the restaurant but my family member booked out the top floor and it was awesome! Really cool place, we basically had a private club!

Our server Gabrielle was amazing....both my wife and I found her warm, friendly, and attentive. I love the 1918 Red house beer.Will be back for Gabrielle's hospitality and the beer!

Good place to watch game esp for big game with speakers on. Service a little slow, but hey they were busy with game on! Burger was 7/10 but reasonable for pub fare. Drink selection were reasonable. Very clean bathrooms & modern styling with nod to the Legion in this building. I'll go back!

Our family party of 9, (3 adults, 3 teenagers, 3 geezers) landed here during super bowl, and had a wonderful evening. Natalia, our waitress was efficient and charming. Food was generally good, although the Superbowl special burger wasn't great. Appetizer nachos and chips were a hit with the kids. We'll be back. This is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Delicious food..the steak salad is my favorite - SO flavorful. The spicy shrimp is hands down my favorite appetizer. Super juicy, garlicky shrimp with a nice kick to it. Eager to try some new options off the menu.

Our group of 5 was not impressed with the service at all. We were ignored by our waiter who had no clue about the menu and our smallneeds were not met (spoon for stew, check on food quality, substitute salad dressing, water to drink). The food was good but not great by any means. The appetizers were better than the mains. Decor and ambiance were nice. Unfortunately the unsatisfactory service will not make us repeat customers.

The menu had great variety. The food came out and was poorly prepared. We had five guests and only three meals came out after an hour wait. There were not too many guests in the restaurant. When the rest of the meal came the presentation was poor. Large shrimp on shrimp tacos. Cut them up and make it easier to eat and enjoy the flavor that was in the food. It was bitter cold in the building. I get it that it’s winter however we were dressed very warm and it was not comfortable. Nice space. Make it enjoyable for your guests.

Really liked the atmosphere, decent choice of beers. Kids menu was nice to have, but there was not much food for a bigger kid, my 8 year old needed to have an extra order.

Just had an amazing lunch.

They catered an event on the 3rd floor. Grand opening Hair Salons, Beauty treatments and Massages etc.The food was just amazing ( the sauces, exquisite).

Amazing place! The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I ordered risotto and a cheesecake, which was one of the best I've ever tried. They have a great beer selection as well.Strongly recommended :-)

Neighborhood gem with nice food and underground parking

It’s my second time to visit the restaurant. I love it, and I’ll come with my friends someday.

Pleasant, sunny atmosphere with windows extending up to the rafters. A great place for lunch or dinner. Nice pub feel with gourmet food options. If you can't find a place to park (often happens as this is a popular spot), there is underground parking available.

Julia is the best server I’ve ever had. The team and management here is amazing. Give Nathan and the rest props.

Pleasantly surprised. Had the burger, which was excellent. I thought the tomato jam on it was great, contrary to another reviewer. Don't expect it to be sweet. Fries are really good, very nicely seasoned. 16 dollars for the meal was competitive/reasonable. Two others with me had the barley risotto, both really liked it. Maybe a bit overpriced.Can't speak to the whole menu, but it's nice to have a new and good option in the neighborhood for a burger and a beer.

We had the calimari and mushroom soup. Out of this world delicious! Our server was excellent as well

Way too big of a space, trying to hard to be what it isn't. Service is great and food is tasty. Prices are as high as the ceiling, don't look up unless it's payday

Clean and open. We were assured by the server that they were working on a new menu. Unfortunately the portions were small and the flavour was hotel-bland.

It took a long time standing at the front before we were acknowledged. Finally a gentleman came over and we told him we had a reservation. The table wasn't even ready for us. We did order and the food was delicious.
